Welcome to the Saint Joseph Monastery website! Our monastery is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As Benedictines, community life is our primary ministry. Living and praying together are the essentials of Benedictine life.
Our sisters have a wide variety of ministries that are compatible with our style of common prayer and community life. Our main corporate ministry is Monte Cassino School, located on our campus. Monte Cassino is a private, Catholic school, teaching children from Preschool through the eighth grade. We also have sisters working at St. Gregory's University in Shawnee. Some of us are involved in health care or pastoral ministry in parishes or health care facilities. Other sisters volunteer at Neighbor for Neighbor or work for other agencies in outreach to the poor and underprivilged. Prison ministry and spiritual direction are other ministries in which we are also involved.
