The Oblates of Saint Benedict are laypeople affliated with St. Joseph Monastery with the goal of sharing in the spiritual life, prayers, and works of the community. Oblates apply the teachings of Saint Benedict to their daily living and work settings, whether married or single.

Who Are Oblates?

The Oblates of Saint Benedict are laypeople affiliated with St. Joseph Monastery with the goal of sharing in the spiritual life, prayers, and works of the community. Oblates apply the teachings of Saint Benedict to their daily living and work settings.

Oblates are part of the monastic family but live outside the monastery and come from all faith traditions.

The Oblates of St. Joseph Monastery have the opportunity to attend monthly meetings, an annual retreat, and other lectures and workshops offered by the monastery. In addition, a regular newsletter keeps members informed of upcoming events.
